Before the two Houses of Parliament resumed at 11 am on Monday, the India Block leaders convened a meeting in the chamber of Congress President and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge. Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, was also present, along with other party leaders. Congress MP K. Suresh confirmed that the meeting of India Block leaders took place in the presence of Rajya Sabha LoP Mallikarjun Kharge at Parliament.

After the Parliament was disrupted during the first week of the winter session, which ended on November 29, proceedings in both Houses are set to resume at 11 am on Monday. The session has been largely paralyzed due to protests by opposition parties over the Adani issue, as well as violence in Manipur and Sambhal. Congress MP Manickam Tagore has given a notice for an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha, seeking a discussion on the Adani issue.

"I seek leave to move an adjournment motion to discuss a matter of urgent public importance, specifically the recent allegations of corruption, bribery, and securities fraud involving the Adani Group and its leadership," Tagore stated. Additionally, Congress MP Imran Pratapgarhi submitted a notice for an adjournment motion in the Rajya Sabha regarding the issues of Sambhal violence and the petition related to Ajmer Sharif Dargah. The first week of the Winter Parliament session, which began on November 25, was marked by early adjournments due to disruptions. The winter session is scheduled to continue until December 20.
