VP Dhankhar to Attend Major Events in Arunachal Pradesh on Day-Long Visit
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will be on a day-long visit to Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday, during which he will attend major programmes in Doimukh and Itanagar. According to the Vice President's Secretariat, during his visit, the Vice President will be the Chief Guest at the 22nd Convocation of Rajiv Gandhi University, Rono Hills, Doimukh.
During his visit, the Vice President will also address a special session of the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly at Itanagar.
Earlier on November 26, Vice President Dhankhar attended the 64th convocation of National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) at AIIMS Jodhpur.
Addressing the convocation during an event at AIIMS Jodhpur, Dhankhar highlighted the direct link between the health of the individual, the productivity of the individual and the overall health of the society.
"Health is paramount and should be given priority because good health is essential not only for the well-being of an individual, but also for our work, but also for the good health of the society," he added. "
"It's also broadly your theme. Friends, as I said, having good health is directly linked to your productivity. If you are not healthy, your productivity will not be optimal. Instead of helping others, you may be asking for others' help," he adds. Dhankhar expressed concern over commercialisation and weakening of ethics in the medical profession. The Vice President urged industry leaders to support manufacturing of medical devices in India.
