CM Dhami Flags Off Aid for Kedarnath Labourers, Inaugurates Crib Centres

Uttarakhand: Uttrakhand's Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, inaugurated 168 daycare centers across the state for the children of registered construction workers.

At the event hosted at the Chief Minister's Camp Office on Friday, he also handed out 60 computers funded by CSR to the Labour Department and Employees State Planning Offices.

The Chief Minister inaugurated a truck loaded with tracksuits, shoes, and food supplies for 432 workers engaged in various projects in the Kedarnath region.

With the capable leadership and direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is consistently striving for the welfare of workers. These initiatives are enhancing the workers' standard of living and bolstering their social status.

As per an official announcement, Chief Minister Dhami earlier sanctioned a budget of ₹66.12 crore for building roads and bridges in different assembly constituencies.

The sanctioned funds amount to ₹12.45 crore for projects in the Kaladhungi assembly constituency of Nainital district. This includes covering an 8.200 km section of the canal from Panchakki Chauraha to Kamaluwaganja and constructing a 3.100 km canal from Chaufula Chauraha to Kathgharia Chauraha, making a total of 3.800 km.

Moreover, ₹3.46 crore has been designated for the enhancement of the Kalsan Thatha-Banoli Sudarka road in the Lohaghat assembly constituency.

Additionally, ₹10.86 crore has been approved for the widening and upgrading of the Lumberpur to Langha road in the Vikasnagar assembly constituency of Dehradun district, expanding it from a 1.5-lane (5.50 meters) road to a 2-lane (7.00 meters) road with DBM and BC layers.

The Chief Minister has sanctioned Rs 9.58 crore for improvement work of Shaheed Shiromani Chilkoti (Gaudi-Kimatoli) motor road in Champawat assembly constituency of Champawat district and Rs 5.98 crore for improvement of internal roads of Tanakpur by Hot Mix DBM/BC in Champawat assembly constituency.

Under the state scheme, the Chief Minister has approved Rs 5.84 crore for construction of 55 meter extension bridge over Rispana river near Chuna Bhatta in Dehradun-Raipur road of Rajpur Road assembly constituency of Dehradun district.

He also sanctioned Rs 2.2 crore for reconstruction and widening of road from lake to Chamunda temple at transit camp under Rudrapur assembly constituency of Udham Singh Nagar district (remaining part of main road from Shiv Nagar to transit camp).

The Chief Minister has approved Rs 2.82 crore for reconstruction of link roads through hotmix between main market under Rudrapur block of Rudrapur Vidhan Sabha constituency of Udham Singh Nagar district and Rs 3.70 crore for the work of Biludi bridge to Fidogi-Dhanaulti motor road under Jaunpur development block of Dhanaulti assembly constituency of Tehri Garhwal district.
