On Thursday, while BJP state president Virendra Sachdeva took a dip in the Yamuna at Chhath Ghat in ITO, on October 21, Congress state president Devendra Yadav arrived to inspect the Yamuna Ghat at Kalindi Kunj. On behalf of the BJP-Congress, the Delhi government is constantly being accused of cheating the people of Delhi. However, the Delhi government is working under the 21-point Winter Action Plan. The government is running a campaign to prevent dust pollution, vehicle pollution. Recently, the Delhi government started the Red Light on Gaadi Off campaign.
Gopal Rai accuses neighbouring states
Environment Minister Gopal Rai told the media, "Politics should be avoided at this time as politics will not reduce Delhi's pollution. Pollution in Delhi can be reduced only with the cooperation of all. He blamed the BJP's governments in neighbouring states for the rising pollution in Delhi. The Delhi government is defending itself on pollution. However, Delhi's air continues to remain in the poor category. On Thursday, Patparganj recorded an AQI of 310, Nehru Nagar 313, Anand Vihar 363, Vivek Vihar 334 and Mandir Marg 317. In the coming days, if the air quality in Delhi remains in the poor category, then the Delhi government can implement the odd-even formula.
Odd-even to be implemented in Delhi soon
Under this formula, the number of vehicles on the roads is determined so that pollution from vehicles can be controlled. When Odd-Even is implemented, Odd number trains run on the roads on the day of Odd and only even number vehicles run on the day of Even. It is believed that the Delhi government will implement it initially for a week after Diwali. It can be increased further based on the response received on this. Delhi Minister Gopal Rai has said that the AQI in Delhi continues to remain in the poor category. However, we have also consistently written to the Union Environment Minister for artificial rain. We have also discussed this with LG because if the situation in Delhi worsens, artificial rain can be done under the pilot project.
