He declared that his upcoming government would be shaped by the aspirations of mothers and sisters. Yadav added that once the government is established, ₹30,000 would be credited directly into women’s bank accounts in a single installment on Makar Sankranti, under the “Mai-Bahin Maan Yojana.”

Tejashwi Yadav further mentioned that the scheme would continue for five years. He explained that if his government serves its full term, each woman would receive a total of ₹1.5 lakh over that period. Yadav emphasized that once his government takes office, direct transfers to women’s bank accounts will begin on Makar Sankranti. Highlighting the festival’s cultural significance marked by curd, chira, and sesame, he said financial support would be extended to women on this auspicious day.

It has already been announced that Jeevika Didis would be made permanent and paid an honorarium of ₹30,000.
