Tarn Taran Election: In Punjab, CM Bhagwant Mann’s government has once again proven why the AAP is so popular. Aam Aadmi Party has secured a historic victory in the Tarn Taran by-election. Harmeet Singh Sandhu, representing the AAP, defeated Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Sukhwinder Kaur by over 12,000 votes. AAP convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed his happiness over this landslide victory and thanked the people of Punjab.

CM Bhagwant Mann also tweeted his happiness
On the historic victory, CM Bhagwant Mann wrote on his social media platform, “The resounding victory in Tarn Taran Assembly constituency by-election proves that the people of Punjab appreciate politics of action. Under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, party is achieving victory. The people of Punjab have once again expressed their trust in the Aam Aadmi Party.
This victory is a victory for the people, for our hard-working volunteers, and for the entire leadership. We will fulfil every promise made to the residents of Tarn Taran during by-election on a priority basis. Many congratulations to the residents of Tarn Taran on this victory.”
Harmeet Singh Sandhu Changes the Scenario
AAP candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu won the Tarn Taran seat, defeating Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa. Randhawa was leading in the initial rounds, but after the fourth round, Sandhu took lead and continued to lead. At the counting centre, which was set up at the International College of Nursing in Piddi, AAP supporters began celebrating as soon as the counting began. Security was also tight.
This seat fell vacant after the death of AAP MLA Kashmir Singh Sohal. Sohal was very popular in the area, making this by-election extremely important. Sandhu’s victory proves that the AAP has not only retained its base but also strengthened it.
