1. Appeal to be a part of Kashi-Tamil Sangamam
PM Modi said, “Friends, the confluence of the world’s oldest language and one of the world’s oldest cities is always wonderful. I am talking about the ‘Kashi Tamil Sangamam.’ The fourth Kashi-Tamil Sangamam is starting on December 2nd at Namo Ghat in Kashi. This year’s Kashi-Tamil Sangamam theme is the very interesting ‘Learn Tamil – Tamil Karakalam.'” PM Modi appealed to everyone to be a part of the Kashi-Tamil Sangamam and strengthen the spirit of Ek Bharat-Shrestha Bharat.
He said, “This time too, the people of Kashi are eagerly and enthusiastically welcoming their brothers and sisters from Tamil Nadu. I urge all of you to be a part of the Kashi-Tamil Sangamam. Also, consider other platforms that strengthen the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat-Shrestha Bharat’.”
2. Promotion of ‘winter tourism’ in Uttarakhand
Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned Uttarakhand’s winter tourism during his “Mann Ki Baat” program on Sunday. He said that winter tourism is particularly attracting tourists these days. Places like Auli, Munsiyari, Chopta, and Deyara are becoming increasingly popular.
In the 128th episode of “Mann Ki Baat,” Prime Minister Modi emphasized the need to promote winter tourism in the country as winter approaches. PM Modi also noted that the Winter Games are scheduled to be held in Uttarakhand in the coming weeks, for which athletes and adventure enthusiasts across the country are excited. Preparations are underway in full swing for various snow sports, including skiing and snowboarding.
He stated that the state government has focused on connectivity, infrastructure, and a homestay policy to promote winter tourism. He spoke about the growing popularity of the “Wed in India” campaign during winter. PM Modi said that whether it’s the golden winter sun or the blanket of fog descending from the mountains, the mountains are becoming increasingly popular for destination weddings.
3. The efforts of ‘Gen-Z’ were appreciated
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the efforts of the ‘Gen-Z’s’ who participated in a unique drone competition organized by India’s space agency ISRO. He said that every time he sees the passion of the youth and the dedication of the scientists, his heart fills with enthusiasm. The Prime Minister said, “A few days ago, a video on social media caught my attention. This video was of a unique drone competition organized by ISRO. In this video, the youth of our country, and especially our ‘Gen-Z’s, were trying to fly drones in Mars-like conditions.”
4. Praise for the Indian women’s team
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Indian women’s cricket team. The team recently defeated Nepal to win the Blind Cricket World Cup. PM Modi said, “This month has been a superhit for Indian sports. The month began with the Indian women’s team winning the ICC Women’s World Cup, but even after that, there was more action on the field. Just a few days ago, the Deaf Olympics took place in Tokyo, where India achieved its best-ever performance, winning 20 medals.”
He said, “Our women players also made history by winning the Kabaddi World Cup. They won the hearts of every Indian with their outstanding performance throughout the tournament. Our players also performed brilliantly in the World Boxing Cup Finals, where they won 20 medals.”
5. Remembering the country’s tradition of peace and compassion
PM Modi spoke about events ranging from the Mahabharata to World War II. He also spoke about his recent visit to Kurukshetra, his public recitation of the Gita in Saudi Arabia, and the great works of Maharaja Digvijay Singh.
Meanwhile, referring to Kurukshetra in Haryana , PM Modi explained how digital technology is being used to showcase the battle through 3D, light and sound shows and digital technology. He said, “We all know that the battle of Mahabharata took place in Kurukshetra in Haryana, but you can also experience this battle firsthand at the Mahabharata Experience Centre there. In this experience centre, the saga of Mahabharata is being shown through 3D, light and sound shows and digital technology. When I visited Kurukshetra on November 25, the experience at this experience centre filled me with joy.”
