Ladki Bahin Yojana: The e-KYC deadline for women beneficiaries under the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana has been extended by the the Maharashtra government. Women who haven’t yet completed their e-KYC can check the new date. The information was shared by Aditi Tatkare, the state’s Women and Child Development Minister and Shrivardhan MLA on social media. She has also shared some of the important points about KYC process.

The deadline for e-KYC has been extended to December 31st. It is to be noted that ₹1,500 is transferred to women’s accounts under the scheme. However, the divorcees or the females whose husbands or father is no  more were facing a major issue with e-KYC. As it was mandatory to submit father’s or husband’s income certificate. But now the ministry has come up with an alternate.

Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare has announced that the last date to complete e-KYC for the Ladki Behin Yojana has been extended to 31 December. Women beneficiaries whose husband or father has passed away or who are divorced will need to complete the KYC process on their own. They must submit a true copy of the death certificate, divorce certificate, or court order to the Women and Child Development Officer in their district. Once this is done, they can continue to receive the benefits of the scheme.

If you don’t complete e-KYC within the stipulated timeframe, your monthly installment of ₹1,500 under the scheme may be withheld. Therefore, women beneficiaries should complete e-KYC as soon as possible to ensure that there are no interruptions in receiving their installments. The government has also extended the deadline for completing KYC.
