Diwali 2025: Diwali, one of India’s most vibrant festivals, is celebrated with great enthusiasm every year on the new moon day of the Kartik month. As per ancient beliefs, this day marks the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after completing 14 years of exile. The people of Ayodhya welcomed him by lighting rows of lamps, giving rise to the tradition of celebrating Diwali. It is also believed that on this night, Goddess Lakshmi descends to Earth to bless her devotees with wealth, joy, and prosperity.
