The historic event is scheduled at the iconic Arun Jaitley Stadium (formerly Feroz Shah Kotla Ground) in central Delhi from 1 pm to 4 pm. Authorities are expecting a large crowd of sports enthusiasts at the stadium and nearby areas to catch a glimpse of Messi, prompting special focus on traffic management.

The Delhi Traffic Police has clarified that traffic restrictions and diversions may be implemented at several locations around the stadium prior to the start of the event, beginning at 12 noon. People have been urged to avoid unnecessary use of private vehicles and to use the metro, bus, or other public transportation whenever possible to avoid traffic jams.

The traffic police have warned that movement on several major roads near the stadium may be slow due to the expected heavy influx of spectators. Partial restrictions and diversions will be implemented on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and JLN Marg. Furthermore, the movement of heavy vehicles will be completely prohibited from Daryaganj to Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and from Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road. These measures have been put in place to ensure security and manage the crowd effectively.

Heavy traffic congestion is expected in certain areas between 12 noon and 5 pm. Commuters are advised to avoid JLN Marg (from Rajghat to Delhi Gate and Kamala Market Roundabout), Asaf Ali Road (from Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate), and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg (both carriageways from Delhi Gate to ITO) and opt for alternative routes.

For smooth entry of spectators into the stadium, separate gates have been designated. Gates 1 to 8 can be accessed from the south via Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg. Gates 10 to 15 are accessible from the east via JLN Marg, near the Ambedkar Stadium bus terminal. Gates 16 to 18 can be reached from the west via Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, near the petrol pump.

Strict parking guidelines have also been issued. Only labeled vehicles will be permitted to park near the stadium complex. Free parking is available for general spectators on Mata Sundari Road, Rajghat Power House Road, and Velodrome Road. For those using app-based cab services, special pickup and drop-off arrangements will be made at MA Medical College (Gate No. 2) and Rajghat Chowk on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg.

The administration has issued a strict warning that vehicles parked illegally on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, JLN Marg, and the Ring Road (from Rajghat to the IP Flyover) will be immediately towed, and legal action will be taken under applicable laws. The Delhi Traffic Police has once again appealed to citizens for their cooperation, urging them to adhere to traffic advisories, start their journeys early, and help ensure that this historic sporting event is safe, orderly, and memorable.
