Chief Justice Surya Kant showed serious concern about the issue. He said, “No judge has a magic wand to clean the air instantly. I understand that the situation is dangerous for people in Delhi-NCR. Tell us what orders we can give so that people can get clean air as soon as possible.”
He also said that pollution doesn’t have just one cause, and it’s not fair to expect only experts and scientists to solve it. All causes of pollution need to be identified. Every area may need a different solution. For this, the work of government committees must be reviewed, and the monitoring system needs to be strengthened.
