In December 2025, another 11th-grade girl from Amroha named Ahana, also died after consuming fast food. She was treated at Delhi AIIMS Hospital, where doctors found her intestines had adhered together due to excessive fast food consumption, which severely affected her digestive system. Despite undergoing a surgery, she could not be saved and her family noted that she was used to frequent consumption of pizza, chowmein, and burgers instead of home-cooked meals that contributed to her health very badly.

Fast Food Side Effects

Consumption of fast food on regular-basis can lead to serious health consequences. These foods are often high in unhealthy fats, sugar, and salt, while lacks in essential nutrients. This can lead to gain in weight, digestive problems, and weakened immunity. Over time, excessive fast food consumption can increase the risk of heart disease, diabetes and liver problems. In some cases this may contribute to severe digestive complications as seen in extreme situations when a repeated intake of junk food affects intestinal health. Experts recommend that limiting fast food, having a balanced diet, preferring home-cooked food, helps in maintaining proper hygiene to reduce the risk of infections and long-term health problems.
