Samsung Rolls Out One UI 6 Update for Galaxy Watch Series

Samsung announced that the rollout commenced on November 19 for the Watch 6 series and will soon extend to other models, though no exact timeline was provided.
This update, One UI 6, is the latest version of Samsung's smartwatch software for wearables operating on Google's WearOS platform.
'The One UI 6 Watch update offers more users personalized information for a comprehensive understanding of health,' Samsung stated.
'With Energy Score, users can gain better insights into their physical and mental conditions through intuitive scores derived from various health metrics, including sleep, activity, heart rate at bedtime, and heart rate variability during sleep.'
Health is assessed based on metrics
Each morning, this energy score provides a number out of 100, where a higher score indicates better readiness.
It takes into account various health indicators to determine if you're prepared for exercise or need rest from the previous day's activities.
The tech company claims that these updates will enhance sleep tracking accuracy with new AI algorithms and introduce additional sleep metrics such as movement during sleep, sleep latency, heart rate, and respiratory rate.
The sleep apnea detection feature in the older Galaxy Watch will also be available in approved countries, which presently does not include the UK.
Characteristics of the latest update
You can also add workout routines, enjoy the new watch face, send suggested replies to text messages using Galaxy AI from your wrist, and use the double pinch gesture feature, which allows you to tap your thumb and index finger twice to answer calls hands-free, dismiss alarms, or take pictures.
Note that you might need a Samsung phone to access all features.
While the Galaxy Watch is compatible with all Android phones, Samsung has reserved certain features, like ECG reading, exclusively for Samsung devices.
