Tears flowed from every eye, and hands joined in prayer and remembrance. Popular Punjabi singer Rajveer Jawanda has tragically passed away at the young age of 35. He was critically injured in a road accident on September 27th and was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali. After fighting for his life for 11 days, he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, leaving the music industry, his family, and fans in deep mourning.

The accident occurred while Rajveer was traveling to Shimla on his motorcycle. On the Pinjore-Nalagarh road, he suddenly encountered two bulls fighting on the road. In an attempt to avoid them, he lost control of his bike and collided with a Bolero vehicle. He sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors did everything possible but could not save him.

This tragic event comes shortly after the nation mourned the death of singer Zubeen Garg. Rajveer’s wife had expressed her concerns about him traveling on a bike that day, sensing potential danger. Tragically, her fears were realized. This incident also highlights a broader issue: stray animals on roads remain a major cause of accidents in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and across India. It’s a reminder that more proactive measures are needed to prevent such tragedies.

Despite his untimely death, Rajveer’s life and work continue to inspire. He often reminded the world that good deeds and a kind heart are remembered long after we are gone. Even at the height of his success, he remained humble, and his songs reflected the essence of Punjab—its culture, traditions, and spirit—which he passionately celebrated.

Rajveer Jawanda leaves behind a grieving family: a mother, a young wife, and children. His songs, including hits like Sardari (2018), Kangani, Patiala Shahi Pag, Kesari Jhanda, Landlord, and Surname, showcased his talent and love for Punjabi culture. He also made his mark in Punjabi cinema with films like Subedar Joginder Singh, Kaka Ji, Zind Jaan, and Sikander 2.

His sudden passing has left a void in the hearts of many. Fellow Punjabi artists have pledged to continue their performances and donate proceeds to support his family—a testament to the close-knit and compassionate spirit of the Punjabi music community. Rajveer’s heartfelt song Mitti Na Farol Jo Gaya now resonates even more deeply, reflecting the sorrow of this immense loss.

We pray for strength for his family to endure this tragedy and hope his soul finds eternal peace. Rajveer Jawanda will be remembered not just for his talent, but for the warmth, humility, and love he shared with the world.
