Generation Z is bringing big changes to India. Young entrepreneurs are using technology to solve everyday problems like waste management. One new app has turned a common waste problem into a useful solution. In Bengaluru, a young founder has started a fashion platform that is breaking traditional workplace rules and becoming very successful. Some young people are creating eco-friendly packaging companies, while others are bringing solar power to villages. This shows that Generation Z combines creativity with social responsibility.
Recently, many neighboring countries—like Bangladesh and Nepal—have seen anger and protests from their young people, especially Generation Z. Problems like unemployment, corruption, lack of opportunities, and weak administration have pushed youth to protest on the streets. Their demands for change have sometimes turned violent, creating instability.
Some groups are now trying to use this situation to influence India’s youth as well. They are trying to provoke and mislead young people through social media, fake information, toolkits, and irresponsible political statements. This trend is very dangerous because it attempts to distract the youth from their positive and nation-building efforts.
When considering the youth of India, particularly Generation Z, it is important to remember that India’s situation is different from that of other countries. Indian youth, especially Generation Z, are fundamentally imbued with a nationalistic ideology. The nation is paramount for them. India’s youth fully understand that the path to nation-building lies not through rebellion, but through innovation, hard work, and democratic means. This is why Indian youth, with their enterprise, tireless efforts, and patriotism, have become flag bearers for India in every field. India’s youth are setting new benchmarks in science and technology. The achievements of ISRO in space research are a testament to the contributions of young scientists. In the computer and IT sector, Indian youth are leading global giants. The rise of the startup culture is also a result of this energy, which has made India a global hub of innovation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Infinity Campus of the Indian space startup Skyroot. He stated that over the past 6 to 7 years, India’s space sector has undergone significant transformations and has now become an open, collaborative, and innovation-driven ecosystem.
The Prime Minister stated that his government’s decision to open the space sector to the private sector has provided ample opportunities for the country’s youth, especially ‘Gen Z youth’, to benefit. India possesses capabilities in the space sector that only a few countries in the world have. We have skilled engineers, a high-quality manufacturing ecosystem, and some of the world’s best launch sites. We also have a mindset that encourages innovation. Connecting India’s youth power with innovation, risk-taking ability, and entrepreneurship, he said that this is why India is reaching new heights in diverse sectors today. Skyroot’s Infinity Campus is a reflection of India’s new thinking, innovation, and youth power. He also unveiled Skyroot’s first orbital rocket, Vikram-1, which has the capability to launch satellites into orbit. This state-of-the-art center will have approximately 20,000 square feet of workspace for the design, development, integration, and testing of multiple launch vehicles and will have the capacity to manufacture one orbital rocket every month. Gen Z is generally considered to be the generation born between approximately 1995 and 2010, a generation that is technology-friendly and actively uses digital devices and social media. It is well known that the 1990s were a time of radical changes and new infrastructure on the global stage in the fields of globalization, market economics, and technology. Consequently, children born during that period grew up familiar with that technology and progressed in its development. The construction of Vikram-1 is not merely an industrial achievement but the result of ecosystem building. Skyroot Aerospace’s new Infinity Campus has been developed in Hyderabad over an area of two lakh square feet, providing world-class facilities for rocket design, development, integration, and testing. Through this facility, India has for the first time been able to privately manufacture its own launch vehicles. This is not just a technological achievement, but also an indication of industrial employment, global investment, and the maturation of India’s startup culture.
India is a vast country endowed with diverse varieties of cultures and traditions. Here, tradition and modernity, spirituality, knowledge, science, and technology are all intertwined. No single idea or technology can suddenly eliminate everything else and establish its dominance. India’s Gen Z is currently in the 25-30 age group. It is on the trust, determination, and participation of this Gen Z that the country is moving forward with the resolve of a developed India. This Gen Z is giving shape to new startups, Make in India, Made in India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India). This Gen Z is the strength of India. It possesses creativity, struggles, dreams, determination, and the hard work to fulfill them. They are the foundation stones of a new India, for whom the nation comes first. They trust in India’s knowledge tradition, the tradition of saints and great personalities, and the Sanatan tradition even more than they trust in science and technology. India’s Gen Z is becoming the pivot not only of its own country but also of various systems in different countries of the world. Today, India has become the world’s fourth-largest economy. Many young people are rapidly participating in the world’s largest startup ecosystem. This Gen Z generation is the one achieving new inventions and achievements in the field of science. This generation is more talented, creative, and emotionally aware than ever before. India’s economy has also picked up pace. Gen Z is astonishing the world with its talent. Even the world’s richest businessman, Elon Musk, has become an admirer of Indian talent.
