The Changing Winds of Bihar Politics
Suresh Soni, who has infused new aspirations into the saffron movement, is passionately devoted to the BJP. This was evident during a small Sangh meeting where he felt isolated in his 'Ekla Chalo' stance, as other Sangh leaders expressed differing views. For instance, a senior Sangh leader strongly asserted that 'the next BJP president should be someone who can confidently express their views directly to the people. We do not want a president who merely waits for instructions.'
Sources said that after listening to everything, Suresh Soni said fearlessly that 'despite such adverse circumstances, when the opposition is making allegations of vote theft and many other things, our economy is faltering and America is unnecessarily threatening us, Modi ji is managing the country so well by maintaining all the balances.' It is said that after this, Suresh Soni appealed to his fellow leaders of the Sangh that why does he have to tell good things about the central government in every meeting? If the Prime Minister is doing everything well, then we all should realize this and we should collectively come forward to praise him.
Which central ministers are a thorn in the eyes of the top BJP?
The general perception of the people about a senior minister of the government is that he is a minister who just gets by with his work. The list of his friends is very long, both in the party and outside the party. It is said that a tape scandal of a famous builder of Mumbai is making headlines in which the minister is allegedly heard saying that 'anything can happen after Bihar. 40-45 MPs are in touch with me.' It should be noted that this builder is as close to the Gujarat lobby as he is to the minister. So, after the builder leaked this tape, the BJP is investigating the past working history of this minister.
RSS's concern about foreign policy
RSS is unable to digest India's latest love for China. RSS leaders have started mentioning in hushed tones that when Indira Gandhi had decided to have a quarrel with America, the whole country had joined her on this issue and an anti-American wave had started in the country. But at present, the wave of anti-Americanism is not visible in India at all. Remember how Nehru had extended a hand of friendship towards China, advocated the 'Panchsheel' policies, what did we get in return. A RSS leader says in a somewhat open tone, 'We have made friends with the snake in the form of China by being enemies with the mongoose, it is its nature to bite one day or the other. Let's see how long we are able to protect ourselves.' Then the then US President John F. Kennedy's attitude towards India was different, but can Trump be trusted?
Karra's rebellion
The Congress's dispute in Jammu and Kashmir is not getting resolved at all. Despite all the efforts of the Congress high command, the leaders divided into factions in the state are not able to unite. Rahul Gandhi has, with a very sad heart, entrusted the responsibility to Congress's organization general secretary KC Venugopal to unite the Congress divided into different factions in the state. On this, KC Venugopal summoned Congress in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir Saeed Nasir and asked him to call a meeting of the state leaders in Delhi. As per his orders, this meeting was called in Delhi in which all the leaders of the state participated.
Even party general secretary and in-charge of West Bengal G.A. Mir, several members of the Congress Working Committee and former Jammu and Kashmir state president Waqar Rasool Wani were present in this meeting. But surprisingly, the current state president Karra sent a slip saying that 'he has suffered a heat stroke and hence is unable to attend this meeting.' If he was really ill, then how did he reach Kishtwar a few days after the meeting where a cloudburst had occurred in the mountains. In a way, Karra has sent a message to his party leaders that 'they can only take orders from Rahul Gandhi.'
Why is there a rift between Kejriwal and Mann
Arvind Kejriwal recently met a person from a prominent industrial house of Punjab and reportedly offered him a Rajya Sabha seat. Sources reveal that when Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann came to know about this, he bluntly told Kejriwal that 'please let me take decisions for Punjab, you focus on Gujarat.' Actually, Mann was worried about the fact that if all the Rajya Sabha seats go to industrialists, then what will happen to the party workers and dedicated leaders. Anyway, Mann government is facing a lot of criticism due to the 'land pooling' policy in Punjab. It is said that now Kejriwal and Mann have reached a consensus on why not find a candidate for Rajya Sabha who has a mass base and is also capable of helping the party.
…and finally
Is the scent of gunpowder lingering in the shifting winds of Bihar? The BJP is now proceeding with great caution regarding Bihar. For instance, the Delhi court recently summoned JP Nadda, assigning him the crucial task of overseeing all election details in Bihar. Nitish visited Delhi and continued to speak frivolously before the saffron court, yet the court showed no displeasure towards him. Nitish remains firm in his stance that he will contest more seats than the BJP, and it seems this demand might be met. Prashant Kishore has been advised to proceed more slowly. The BJP's own evaluation suggests he can only secure upper-caste votes. Although the Muslim community is visibly present at his gatherings, it is believed that this time, Muslim votes might favor the Mahagathbandhan camp, potentially disappointing vote-splitters like Owaisi.
