Senior Citizens Celebrate Unity and Service at Annual Gathering
The Senior Citizen Kesari Club's yearly gathering took place at the Punjab Kesari premises in Wazirpur, New Delhi, led by Chairperson Mrs. Kiran Chopra. Branch presidents and co-branch presidents attended with enthusiasm and excitement, sharing perspectives on forthcoming initiatives for elderly services. Branch presidents and their teams from various regions of the country offered motivating suggestions on enhancing services for senior citizens and addressing their issues.
Roop Chand Dahiya, the 95-year-old president of the Narela branch, attended with colleagues Ram Kishan Verma and Hukam Chand Gaud, sharing motivational ideas. Renu Gulati, president of the Green Park branch, highlighted the need to involve younger generations in the club's service activities, while Shashi Khanna expressed her desire to organize a cricket tournament for club members. Dharamsagar, president of the Gurgaon branch, observed that thousands of senior citizens are keenly participating in the club's recreational programs. Branch co-heads DN Kawatra and Poonam Bhatnagar also talked about the club's various activities. Anju Kashyap, head of the Greater Kailash-Noida branch, reported that the club's activities are proceeding smoothly. Kiran Madan, head of the Punjabi Bagh branch, noted that senior citizens from abroad are also engaged in the club's exciting and entertaining programs and visit here.
Karuna Goyal and Ruby Khurana, the co-heads, mentioned that birthdays and wedding anniversaries are celebrated here with great enthusiasm. Kamlesh Devi-Bimlesh, the head of the Janti Kalan branch, Ved Prabha from the Rohini branch, Kamal Arora, Rama Agarwal, the head of the Paschim Vihar branch, and associate Sunil Sachdeva, Urmil Bedi, Usha Shastri, the head of Patel Nagar, O.P. Grover, Baldev Gaba from Green Park, Shyamlal Narula, the head of the Chaukhandi branch, Mahesh Bagga, Ashok-Kamal Khanna, the head of the East Delhi branch, GS Tyagi, the head of Kiran Garden branch, and Tejveer Singh also pledged to serve the elderly in the club. During the event, Binu Chauhan, the president of the Model Town branch, and Rekha Grover outlined public awareness programs aimed at the welfare of the elderly. All branch presidents collectively planted a tree in honor of 'mother'. A delightful feast and sweets were arranged for everyone. Chairperson Mrs. Kiran Chopra recognized all the branch presidents and colleagues by presenting them with awards.
