False Bomb Alarms in Major Cities Cause Panic and Disruption

Published on:

Although the frequent bomb threats in Delhi, Bangalore, and other major cities are often false alarms, they have caused significant distress to both the police and the public, including school children and their parents. These fake threats have even extended to flights. Police and security agencies must conduct thorough investigations, deploying bomb detection squads immediately. Every area must be meticulously searched, as these threats cannot be dismissed. When an email about bombs in schools is received, classrooms are evacuated, and children are carefully escorted out. Parents become anxious and rush to schools upon hearing the news. Schools face the challenge of safely gathering children and informing parents, while parents repeatedly leave work to check on their children, creating ongoing issues.

Schools have been receiving threats earlier as well. It was once said that this is a mischief of some school children. Sometimes there are reports of some arrests. Many times claims have been made to solve the mystery of threats. Till now it is difficult to decide whether this is a prank, a conspiracy or a big experiment. Last year, it was confirmed that threatening emails were sent from Russia to schools in NCR including Delhi. India's security agencies are confused in the matter of such emails. Agencies are not able to decide what is the reason for receiving such a large number of threats? Are the people doing this within India or are India's enemies doing some kind of big experiment. You cannot even imagine what can happen if a bomb blast takes place in a school. A single person cannot do this. It is possible that an organized gang is behind this. It is not easy to find the source of threatening emails in today's era. People doing this use the dark web and BPN, which have many layers. Information technology has become so complex that if the threat is sent using a foreign server, it is very difficult to trace the source.

Threats are being given to blow up the religious places of the country using RDX. After the arrest of a B.Tech engineer in the case of threatening to blow up the Golden Temple complex, the question arises whether the B.Tech engineer is mentally unsound or not. Whatever the conclusion, there is a danger of religious tension arising from such threats. Bomb threats and rumours are having a deep impact on society, which can lead to social unrest, violence and even economic loss. Bomb threats in schools are having a negative impact not only on children but also on their parents and society. Bomb threats are mentally pressurising everyone. It seems that if this trend continues, the society itself will come under pressure. Parents of school children are saying that such threats cannot be taken lightly. It can also be a situation of 'wolf came, wolf came'. In such a situation, not only the parents will be worried, on the other hand security has become a big issue for the school management also.

A climate of fear has enveloped school grounds. If those who instill terror threaten 50 schools simultaneously, how can the education system continue without disruption amid such fear? Various reports suggest that bomb disposal units, medical teams, ambulances, and police forces should be on standby near schools. Vendors should not be present in front of schools, and there should be open spaces outside to facilitate evacuation during emergencies. However, is this feasible in a city like Delhi? Numerous questions arise from the sight of vendors and e-rickshaws gathered outside Delhi's schools. This wave of threats has become uncontrollable. The individual responsible must be identified.

If some mischievous mind is working behind them, then it is also necessary to treat him. School managers will also have to give safety training to their staff, while on the other hand the police administration will also have to create a strong network to catch cyber criminals. The most important thing is how to make school children and parents mentally strong so that they can deal with such situations arising again and again. Neither do we want a fearful society nor do we want a careless society, so alertness is very important.
