Young BJP MP's Failed Attempt to Meet Trump Sparks Controversy
"Each full-length mirror feels equally solitary from within, as it reflects the tales of both you and me."
The Indian government's initiative to make the global world aware of the alleged threat of 'Operation Sindoor' got entangled in new complications many times. When a delegation of Indian MPs reached America under the leadership of Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, a young BJP MP included in it unnecessarily came into the headlines in an attempt to give wings to his extreme political ambitions. This MP was most upset about the fact that Milind Deora, who was part of this delegation, had already fixed a time to meet Trump Junior and he also met his junior in a cordial atmosphere. So, this young MP also explored the possibilities of meeting Trump Junior, but he could not succeed in it. Then he took a big decision and told his colleagues that 'he will now meet Donald Trump directly.'
An old friend of his living in America helped him in this task, whose conduct is also considered to be full of mysteries. The MP's friend took him to Trump's residence 'Mar-a-Lago' in Florida, which has been among Trump Senior's private residences since 1985. There are a total of 126 rooms in this Mar-a-Lago, which is spread over an area of 62,500 square feet. After 1994, Trump converted this place into a club, any person can become a member of this club by paying a hefty fee.
The Trump family also holds meetings with VIPs here, it should be noted that once Trump also met the then Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abo and the President of China Xi Jinping here. Anyway, coming back to this BJP MP, he was introduced to Trump saying that 'he is a very special man of the head of state of India.' But as per his habit, Trump's behaviour with this MP cannot be called decent at all, his immediate comments were also heart-breaking. This MP also returned from Florida with a sad face on the lines of 'Bade Beabaroo Hokar Nikle Tere Kuche Se'. He did not even mention this incident to anyone. But news has wings, this new flight across the seven seas collided with India's Raisina Hills. Sources tell that the party top has summoned him and taught him a good lesson, that too in the presence of three big leaders of the party. There was a view to show him the door out of the party, but after the MP's request and apology, it seems he has been given a reprieve for the time being.
Just like small children are coaxed and bribed with sweets to take exams, Bihar is receiving similar treatment. Although Bihar might participate in the electoral process, it is the political parties that will ultimately succeed or fail. As the Bihar elections approach, the ruling party is lavishing gifts on the state. In this context, on June 30, the Airport Authority of India and the Bihar government signed a Memorandum of Understanding to construct six new airports in Bihar, aiming to boost the Udaan scheme for Bihar's comprehensive development.
These new airports will be Birpur, Saharsa, Madhubani, Munger, Valmiki Nagar and Muzaffarpur. Apart from this, rapid progress can be seen in the direction of starting the Purnia airport. The ruling party wants that 'flights should start in Purnia at least in September before the Bihar elections.' But till now there were many obstacles in its way. For example, due to the delay in giving land by the state government, the approach road could not be constructed, now this matter has been resolved, even the 15 acres of land required for the construction of the boundary wall has not been allotted yet. From the point of view of starting Purnia airport soon, it has been decided that the peripheral road and apron area of the old airport will be used, later with time it will be expanded or a new one will be constructed. But the length of the runway of Purnia airport is bigger than international airports like Patna or Gaya, the length of the runway here is 2800 meters, from this it can be inferred that even big aircrafts like A-320, A-321 Airbus will be able to operate easily here. The speed at which the construction work of Purnia airport is progressing is a case study in itself.
Two months ago on 29th May, the Prime Minister himself inaugurated the new terminal of Patna airport built at a cost of Rs. 1200 crores. The PM had also given the green signal to the construction of Bihta airport near Patna. The runway of Patna is short, so broad body aircrafts cannot land here, Bihta airport can fulfill this deficiency. At the same time, the new terminal of Darbhanga airport is being constructed at a cost of Rs. 600 crores, which is being prepared to be presented as a unique example of 'state of art'. But despite this, the common complaint of Bihar's BJP leaders is that 'just building an airport will not work, Bihar needs some new industry, some new 'agro-based' based ventures so that employment can be created for the people here and they do not have to migrate from the state.'
Lalu's control over the politics of Mahagathbandhan
Lalu Yadav is still behaving like a master player of politics, he wants to keep Congress within limits even while keeping it with him. Pappu Yadav, a big leader of Seemanchal, is not able to openly enter Congress because Lalu considers Pappu a big challenge for his son Tejashwi. Congress' firebrand leader Kanhaiya's 'Palayan Roko, Naukri Do' padayatra has been stopped because of Lalu's wish. To cash in on Rahul Gandhi's hyperactivity in the state, Congress is demanding 60 seats from Lalu as part of the alliance. Congress has even sent its observers to 58 seats. Recently, Bihar Congress President Rajesh Ram came to Delhi and met Congress President Kharge and Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal and went to Patna. He was told that 'Congress will not let there be any shortage of resources in this Bihar assembly election.'
At the same time, Lalu is putting pressure on Congress through VIP's Mukesh Sahni. Sahni, who has barely any influence on 15 assembly seats in the state, is also demanding 60 seats on the lines of Congress. This is also a part of Lalu's strategy, he wants to keep a check on Congress by intimidating the smaller parties in the Mahagathbandhan. On the other hand, Lalu knows that Sahni has a shortage of capable candidates to field on his party symbol, so he can indirectly field RJD candidates on many seats allotted to Sahni, i.e. Lalu wins both heads and tails.

Will Owaisi form a third front?
The electoral battle of Bihar is becoming more interesting with each passing day. This time many small parties like Prashant Kishore's Jan Suraj, Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party have worked to make this electoral battle interesting. Now, AIMIM's Asaduddin Owaisi has also jumped into this battle.
Owaisi's party's Bihar state president Akhtarul Iman has recently written a letter to RJD supremo Lalu Yadav and urged him that 'his party is also ready to be a part of the grand alliance'. But it is said that Lalu and his son Tejashwi have shelved this letter. Angered by this, Owaisi has now raised the slogan of a third front in Bihar and said that 'this third front is ready to contest elections on all 243 assembly seats of Bihar'. More or less the same announcement has already been made by the Aam Aadmi Party, which means that one after the other, BJP is getting many reasons to smile, because one of its important players PK is standing in the electoral field more strongly than before.
…and finally
See a unique example of the extent to which bureaucracy is becoming unbridled in Madhya Pradesh. Some three months ago, on 12 April 2025, a former MLA Kishore Samrite sent a copy of this letter to the PMO, Chief Secretary, Lokayukta and Principal Secretary, accusing Minister Sampatiya Uike of taking a commission of one thousand crore rupees. The Lokayukta termed the complaint baseless and did not find any need to investigate it.
When the Chief Secretary received this letter on 24 April, without much deliberation, he stamped it with an investigation stamp and sent it to the Under Secretary. The Under Secretary marked this letter to the Chief Engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department, who asked the Project Director and Engineers of the Water Corporation to respond within seven days. When the Minister came to know about this, he asked, 'On what basis has the investigation been ordered? It is not being confirmed?' Later, the administration realized its mistake and the investigation was reversed, saying that 'the complaint is baseless.'
