India, China and Pakistan

Published on:

There is no uncertainty that during the short four-day conflict of Operation Sindoor, Indian forces triumphed over Pakistan. This fear prompted Pakistan to ask India for a ceasefire. In this war that lasted from 7 to 10 May, China supported Pakistan in such a way that even the war material supplied by it to Pakistan was tested. Pakistan gets about 81 percent of its armaments from China, which includes fighter planes. Along with this, Turkey also supplied drones to Pakistan in large quantities and also made available the experts to operate them. Thus, India fought this war against three countries in which it was victorious and destroyed 9 terrorist hideouts of Pakistan, in which some military bases also came under the purview of Operation Sindoor. Lieutenant General Rahul Singh, Deputy Chief of the Indian Army, revealed this fact in a conference organized by FICCI in Delhi yesterday. His statement made it clear that China was targeting India by placing a gun on Pakistan's shoulder.

As far as Turkey is concerned, being an Islamic country, it thought it better to support Pakistan. Although decades ago, Turkey was a supporter of India, but since Islamic fundamentalists have become active in this country, its attitude has started changing. It should not be forgotten that this is the country of Mustafa Kamal Ataturk, who fought hard to make Turkey a modern and scientifically minded country in the third decade of the last century. Despite being Muslim majority, Kamal Ataturk made Turkey a secular country and established educational institutions in place of mosques in his country. But on the other hand, China is a country whose eyes were on Tibet as soon as it got independence in 1949 and its view on the border dispute with India was expansionist. In the fifties, during the reign of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, when Chinese Prime Minister Chou En Lai came to India on a state visit, slogans of Hindi-Chini Bhai-Bhai were raised. But in 1962, its expansionist intentions came out clearly and it attacked India. Then its troops had reached up to Tezpur in Assam. China then attacked India suddenly, stabbing it in the back. Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, the biggest flag bearer of friendship with China, could not bear this shock and died in May 1964.

During the war, Pt. Nehru had said in the Indian Parliament that China's mentality is of a warlike or combative type (military minded). But Pt. Nehru was mistaken because in 1959 itself China had occupied the whole of Tibet and imposed communism on the people here. Despite this, India never accepted Tibet as a part of China till 2003. This work was done by the Vajpayee government which came to power at the Centre in 2003 and Tibet was accepted as a part of China. In return, China accepted Sikkim as a part of India but immediately after this it started staking its claim on Arunachal Pradesh.

Therefore, it is not difficult to guess the intentions of China. Pakistan has been doing all such things since its birth till today which cause trouble to India. In 1962, when India lost the war against China, it signed a new border agreement with China and gave away five thousand square kilometers of Pakistan occupied Kashmir to it as charity. This land is considered very important from the strategic point of view, which is called the Karakoram area. This further complicated the issue of Pakistan occupied Kashmir. Pakistan is in the lap of China these days and China is giving it every possible military and civilian help. On the other hand, China is also entangled with India on the border of Ladakh and is continuously increasing the military strength of its warships in the Indian Ocean, even in the maritime borders. But India has also not played with empty guns, it has also maintained its participation in the Quad group with Japan, Australia, America in the Indo-Pacific Ocean region.

But the real question today is that if China continues to help Pakistan in this manner, then this illegitimate and ungrateful country built on rented land will not stop carrying out terrorist activities against India. This is why Prime Minister Modi has made it clear that if any Pak-sponsored terrorist incident takes place in India in the future, it will be considered an attack on India and a strong military response will be given. Lieutenant General Rahul Singh has tried to make it clear that Pakistan has now become a laboratory for China's war material. Therefore, India's political leadership should take serious cognizance of this and prepare its strategy. But along with this, it is also crystal clear that Operation Sindoor is the result of the strong will power of the political leadership and it is not over yet.
