The Dwarf Giants: Global Leaders and Their Shadows
Amanullah Ali Khamenei, Putin, Netanyahu, American Mahabali Trump, none of them have anything to do with human values, sensibilities, culture, demands of civilized society. They all think they are Mahabali. are unbeatable. They are immortal, they are immortal. But everyone has a dark past. Khamenei's ancestors belong to the cleric family of the Indian city of Barabanki. Once he went to Mecca-Medina, returning from there and settled in a city called Khomeini in Iran, since then this cleric family of Barabanki started coming into the headlines. In the early stages, he himself publicly admitted that he was neither a great scholar of Islamic principles nor a sufficiently qualified 'Semenarian' of Iran.
But when there was a popular uprising against Iran's Emperor Aryamehr Reza Pahlavi, in the year 1989, Khamenei suddenly stood in the front row due to his sharp rebellious attitude and being an Islamic advocate, and since then there has been no challenge to remove this person from the front line. Russian President Putin's past is not particularly bright. He was born in a truck carrying corpses and seriously wounded people from the battlefield during the days of the uprising against the Tsarist regime in Russia. Among the dead bodies, the child that his injured mother had given birth to was met with screams.
Later, he was raised in a similar environment. This minor soldier of the country of Tolstoy, Gorky, Turgenev and Dostoyevsky gradually became the head of his country's intelligence organization, and then after becoming the head of the country, he killed or killed each of his opponents to keep his power intact. Now he has no challenge at the moment, but when he got entangled with the small country Ukraine, it was found that he too is not a world conqueror. Even though Putin has destroyed every major hospital and university in Ukraine, Putin's pulses are still not melting in front of the courage of Zelensky of Ukraine. Ukraine was once a part of the Soviet Union, the old incarnation of Russia, but now the same country is the biggest challenge.
The same is the case with Netanyahu. Starting as a humble Jewish leader, he is now a dangerous challenger to almost the entire Islamic world, despite his dwarf stature. Despite being the smallest country in geographical size, it had shaken the hearts of Arab countries in the past and still remains the most dangerous challenge. American megastar Trump has repeatedly proven that he is a shrewd businessman and cannot be trusted with anything. It has dozens of 'towers' in the world. He also has properties in India in Gurugram and Pune. Even now, he sometimes stands with Israel as an inseparable friend and sometimes suddenly pulls back. Sometimes he invites the Chief of the Army Staff of Pakistan for lunch and sometimes he starts sending an invitation to the Indian Prime Minister.
In his own country, he also plays the role of a superman and also plays the role of a villain. That is, more or less the whole world is surrounded by such humble and dwarf Lilliputian leaders who, despite their inadequacy and small thinking, remain Gulliver at this time. None of them is worried about whether their names will be recorded in black letters or bloody text or in golden letters in the coming history. They are also afraid that the moment they appear weak, they will be killed. There is also the apprehension that their own people may become their murderers.
In such an environment, where will we be able to hoist the flag of art, literature, music, culture and life-values? There is no corner in the hearts and minds of Khamenei, Putin, Netanyahu or Trump for public welfare, kindness, compassion, wisdom and science. We, the people of India, are fortunate in the sense that we remember our values, arts and lights of compassion. But challenges, noise, immoral conduct and bitterness are no less in our country too. Sometimes we also start imitating Khamenei, Putin, Netanyahu, Trump, but the roots of our past values are so deep that we cannot go astray for long.
For us, the environment, progress, development and knowledge science are no less important. But how far and how long we will be able to avoid the pollution of the current world culture is still unclear. We have to move a little away from the current world culture and also avoid it. The first challenge is to find some pleasant voices from the neighbourhood. How will it happen? When will it happen? Nothing is fixed.
