India's Peace Call: Dialogue Over Destruction

Published on:

On the one hand, when America has jumped into the Israel-Iran war, the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, has given a message of peace and dialogue and said that only diplomacy and dialogue can solve any problem in the world. After the US plunged into the war, Iranian President Mr. Masoud Pejeshkian had a telephonic conversation with Mr. Modi in which Mr. Modi said that for regional peace and stability, it is necessary to resolve the problem through dialogue and dialogue and to maintain peace at all levels. India has believed that war leads only to destruction and talks are the only way to end destruction. As far as Iran and Israel are concerned, India has good relations with both countries.

It also has a deep relationship with Iran in the field of civil to mutual technical and diplomatic cooperation and it also has cooperation in the field of technology with Israel, but today the uproar that Israel and the United States are making about Iran's nuclear program can only be said that Iran is already a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), while Israel also has nuclear The power is there, but it has not signed the NPT. In this case, Iran has the upper hand, but Israel, the United States and some Western countries are not ready to accept this argument and they say that Iran is moving towards making nuclear bombs and in this regard, refining uranium at their country's nuclear bases.

Iran has said that its nuclear program is purely for peaceful purposes and it has no intention of acquiring nuclear power. In this context, India's role is so much that it should explain to the world that the solution to such a complex problem can be found by talking among themselves, for which a full-fledged war is not necessary. In his conversation with the Iranian President, Mr. Modi clearly expressed his deep concern over the escalation of the Israel-Iran war. He said India stands for peace and humanity. Therefore, first of all, the chances of escalation of war should be reduced. This can happen only through dialogue and diplomacy. He made it clear that India supports regional stability and peace.

Obviously, India's vote is not in favor of provoking war by the US and it also does not support such efforts of Iran because in 2005 India also voted against Iran's nuclear program in the United Nations. At that time, the Congress-led UPA government was in power at the Centre under the leadership of Dr. Manmohan Singh. Therefore, if the Congress is saying today that the Modi government should support Iran with its eyes closed, then it should first read its history carefully. Mr. Modi's stance is purely in the national interest as we have historical, cultural relations with Iran and friendly relations between the people of the two countries. Just as the Iranian government is fully cooperating with the Indian government in sending thousands of citizens trapped in the recent war in Iran, they are also sent to India. Mr Modi thanked the Iranian President for this.

India's economic and commercial relations with Iran are also very deep, which is evidenced by its Chabahar port, which is built with India's assistance. This is a fitting answer to the Gwadar port built in Balochistan, Pakistan, which China uses well. Therefore, Iran is also a strategic ally of India. Along with this, Iran has also supported India many times on the issue of Kashmir. As far as Israel is concerned, it extended full support to India after the recent Pahalgam incident. But Iran will also have to stop supporting terrorist organizations in the West Asian region because Israel and the United States say that Iran openly supports organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthis.

They believe that if Iran makes a nuclear bomb, then the terrorist forces of the region can take it over, but Russia is cooperating in Iran's nuclear program and says that Iran's nuclear program is completely peaceful. Overall, the situation has become so complex that it can only be resolved by Shri Modi's formula of dialogue and dialogue. Many questions are being raised in the United States itself about the way America has jumped into the Israel-Iran war and a meeting of the United Nations Security Council is also being convened in this regard. What solution the Security Council will be able to provide remains to be seen.
