India's Diplomatic Success: Modi's Global Peace Push
The success of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's visit to Canada has many dimensions. This visit has increased the possibility of resumption of a period of sweetness in the relations between the two countries, while a direct message has been sent to other countries of the world that India is a peace-loving country which wants to solve every problem through dialogue. Mr Modi was in Canada at the invitation of G-7 countries where the summit was held in Calgary. But the message given by Mr. Modi in the G-7 countries conference is for the whole world to deal with the challenges of the present time. The Prime Minister of India has drawn the attention of the world to the growing problem of terrorism and has clearly stated that we cannot have double standards towards terrorism. Mr Modi also cautioned that we cannot reward countries which nurture or harbour terrorism. In order to combat terrorism, all the countries of the world will have to rise above selfish interests and gains and fight this problem. In this context, the statement he made is worth considering for all countries.
The Prime Minister of India said that we are seeing that countries which openly support terrorism are being blessed by others and turning a blind eye to terrorism. They are doing this because of their personal interests. Doing so is against the whole of humanity. Terrorism is a grave crime against humanity. Shri Modi said that I have some serious questions about this which are from the representatives of all the countries present at this meeting place. Are we really concerned about terrorism? Will we be serious about terrorism only when it knocks at our own doorstep? Should those countries which spread terrorism and those who suffer from it be treated equally? Can we put such countries on the same scale? In such a situation, are our international institutions not losing their relevance? On the one hand, we do not delay in imposing various sanctions on other countries to serve our interests and interests, and on the other hand, we reward such countries which spread terrorism. Why this duplicity? There is a dire need to understand why Mr. Modi said this. Without naming any country, Mr. Modi exposed the duplicity of America.
We know that Pakistan's military soldier Field Marshal Asim Munir is currently on a visit to the United States, where he was invited by US President Donald Trump for lunch. The whole world is now well aware of the kind of crooked tricks that Trump plays. Munir is the first Pakistani Army General to be invited to dine with a US President. Asif Munir also caught the attention of Indians with his rhetoric because he speaks the same language that Mohammad Ali Jinnah used to speak to create Pakistan. Then the whole world knows that Pakistan's army regularly nurtures terrorist organizations on its land and also provides military training to terrorists. Therefore, Shri Modi's statement to the G-7 countries that if we do not take strong action against terrorism today, history will never forgive us, clearly shows why India is concerned about terrorism and why it wants to draw the attention of the whole world towards it. In his speech, Mr Modi also referred to the terrorist incident in Pahalgam in Kashmir on April 22 and expressed gratitude to the countries who had strongly condemned the incident and expressed goodwill towards India. Mr Modi described the Pahalgam incident as an attack on the soul of India and every Indian. With this statement, Mr. Modi made it clear that they should not wait for terrorism to reach their doorsteps and take decisive decisions in this regard. Without naming Pakistan, Mr Modi also took a dig at its role in the growth and spread of terrorism and said that terrorism is flourishing in our own neighbourhood. This land has become a refuge for terrorists. Therefore, for global peace and development, it is very important that our policies and thinking are completely clear about this. Therefore, any country which supports terrorism should be held responsible and has to pay the price for it. It is clear from Shri Modi's words that India can go to any extent to deal with terrorism.
In this context, after the Pahalgam incident, India had declared that from now on every terrorist incident would be considered as an attack on India. Along with Canada, Mr. Modi also went to Croatia and Cyprus and talked about terrorism and world peace there too. India's cultural and economic relations with Croatia are very old. When the Soviet Union disintegrated in 1990-91, it also affected the communist countries of Eastern Europe. In 1991, Croatia separated from Yugaslavia and became a new country. India has had very cordial relations with Yugoslavia since independence. Self of Yugoslavia. President Marshal Tito Pt. He was a very good friend of Nehru and was the leader of the Non-Aligned Movement. This was the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Croatia since 1991. During his visit, Mr Modi also witnessed the warmth of the Croatian people towards India. Overall, Modi's foreign visit was very successful.
