Iran-Israel War

Published on:

The G-7, an organization of seven major countries in the world, was already feared to be overshadowed by the Iran-Israel war because European countries and the US have been claiming in West Asia since World War II. Given the intense nature of the military conflict between Iran and Israel, the whole world is justified in worrying because economic and normal trade cannot be done in the midst of such a conflict. The reason for this is that after economic liberalization, the whole world has started being seen as a market. It is the duty of every country to keep this world safe. But we are seeing that the war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for the last three years and the Israel-Palestine war has been going on in West Asia for the last nine months. In the midst of this war, Israel has also waged a war against Iran. The whole world seems to be shaken by the horrific far-reaching consequences of this war. Therefore, various international organizations are appealing that this war should end, but various countries are also seen to be mobilizing in favor of Israel and Iran, due to which there is a danger of war clouds looming at the world level as well. As far as India is concerned, it has good relations with both countries, so India is forced to adopt the middle path. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, is currently on a visit to Canada, where the G-7 Summit is being held in the city of Calgary. India has been invited as a guest in this conference. Because of this, India's role may not be equal to other G-7 countries, yet Mr. Modi had made it clear even before reaching Canada that the present era is not a period of war, but a period of finding a solution to the biggest problem through negotiations.

Before Canada, Mr Modi also paid a day-long visit to Cyprus. Where he was also awarded the highest civilian honor of this country. As far as Iran is concerned, it is running its nuclear program and the majority of the countries of the world are against it. Israel attacked Iran four days ago for this reason. In response, Iran also launched a fierce attack on Israel. The fight has continued ever since. Israel is attacking Iran's uranium enrichment bases and saying that if Iran makes a nuclear bomb, it can be used on it. The world's seven leading G-7 countries are also of the opinion that Iran should not build a nuclear bomb because of its history of supporting terrorist organizations in the region. Although Iran is a Muslim nation, its history has also been that of a liberal democratic country. Until 1953, there was an elected democratic government of Prime Minister Musaddiq. Musaddiq nationalized his country's oil companies because foreign European and American companies operating in his country exploited local oil sources excessively.

This year, the Shah of Iran was summoned and the Musaddiq government was overthrown and Iran began to live under the monarchy. The monarchy lasted until 1979. This year, the Shah of Iran was also overthrown by the so-called Islamic Revolution, whose reins came from France and took over the reins of the late Communist Party of India. Ayatollah Khomeini took over. Since then, Iran has been playing into the hands of the hardliners. Although elections are also held here, they are all conducted according to Islamic methods. Therefore, if Iran becomes a nuclear power, it will be very dangerous in the eyes of Europe and America. However, Pakistan can also be kept in this category because this country remains a haven of terrorism. But European countries have their own interests in Pakistan, due to which Pakistan was born on the basis of religion in 1947.

Israel says its goal is to destroy Iran's nuclear program. But the countries of the world are thinking that this war should stop. India has a similar view. Although Russia and China are said to be with Iran, they have not yet come out openly and they have supported the ceasefire. The China-led Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) also issued a statement two days ago saying a way to end the war must be thought of. India is also a member of this organization but it is not a signatory to this statement. Similarly, the G-7 countries issued a joint statement yesterday asking Iran to end its nuclear program and calling for an end to the war. But it was not signed by US President Donald Trump. With this, Mr. Trump left the G-7 summit midway and left for Washington, home country. It is understood that a major incident is going to happen on the Israel-Iran front. The US has also started sending its warships from the South China Sea to West Asia. Trump has also made it clear that Iran should cancel its nuclear program, while Iran says that as a sovereign nation, it has the right to take this step in self-defense. On the other hand, the G-7 countries are saying that Israel also has the right to self-defense. It is expected that if an alternative to a ceasefire is found, it does not seem impossible.
