Nadda's focus on work only

Published on

A prominent leader of a major BJP-ruled state went to meet BJP President JP Nadda. As per his habit, Nadda met him very warmly, welcomed him, served him tea and breakfast and then asked him the reason for coming. Then that saffron satrap said to Nadda as 'You are seeing how much upheaval is going on in the politics of the state, each other's feet are being pulled, it would be better if I do the politics of the center i.e. Delhi. So, if possible, this time you should adjust me in the party's central organization. After listening to Netaji's entire talk, Nadda told him very politely – let the new president come, only then something can happen.

Mamata's minority love on the rise

Mamata Banerjee is an expert player of politics, she knows well how to keep her core vote bank united under the nose of her opponents. Even though there is still more than a year left in the Bengal assembly elections, Mamata has started weaving a new strategy of intimidation on the political chessboard. Surprising everyone, especially the state's main opposition party BJP, Mamata put forward a new list of backward castes on the floor of the assembly on June 10 by nominating OBC-A and OBC-B, 76 new castes have been added to these lists, taking the total number of castes in the OBC list to 140.

The BJP has been opposing these Mamata-sponsored lists from the beginning, as 80 of these 140 castes belong to Muslim groups only. However, when the matter reached the Calcutta High Court last year, the court had excluded 113 castes from this list, then only 66 castes were left in the list. But now the Mamta government has defied the court's order and added 76 out of the 113 castes removed to this list, so that this list has increased from 66 to 140 castes now. Of the 76 new castes, 51 have been included in the OBC A (Most Backward) and 25 names have been included in the OBC-B list. After a lot of uproar, the whole matter has now reached the Supreme Court, where the matter is to be heard next month. The BJP alleges that Mamata is doing all this exercise just to please a particular religion, which is also her core vote bank.

Bihar Election Heading to Hung Assembly?

The upcoming Bihar assembly elections have been made a question of the BJP's nose by the central leadership, so whether it is resources, team management or grassroots level preparations, the saffron party remains at the forefront, but as far as the election results are concerned, the confusion still remains. Recently, the central leadership of the BJP entrusted a huge responsibility of conducting a pre-poll survey to one of its business leaders, it is believed that a comprehensive opinion survey was conducted by this company in all the 243 assembly seats of Bihar, if sources are to be believed, the cost of this survey alone was between six and a half to seven crore rupees. But the results of this survey have emphasized the saffron muscles.

The results of the survey show that even though the BJP's graph is looking good in the urban areas of Bihar, in most rural areas, the NDA alliance is getting a tough fight from the RJD, Congress and ML, where the fight is almost equal. The survey report is also questioning the possible performance of JDU and is saying that Nitish's own core voters are snatching away from it, even this time there is no special enthusiasm among the women voters of the state about JDU and Nitish. At the same time, small parties in the NDA like Manjhi's HAM, or Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Manch are also not able to generate much hope. So, in this survey report, it has been claimed that this time there may be a hung assembly in Bihar.

The lamp in search of new light

Lok Janshakti Party (RJP) chief Chirag Paswan's preparations for the Bihar elections are visible. A leader close to him claims that Chirag is preparing to give his all in this election, money is being raised for a long time to contest the election, sources claim that Chirag's election budget alone can be around Rs 200 crore, out of which Rs 20-25 crore can be spent on his media management.

Chirag is preparing to field at least 40 to 50 candidates of his party in the election, sources say that the party can give a fund of Rs 3 crore to each of his candidates to contest the election. This can be gauged from the fact that Chirag is burnt with milk, this time he is also drinking buttermilk. In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, his aim may have been to reduce Nitish's seats, but in this affair, he also lost his battle, his only candidate could win the election when he fielded his candidates in 137 seats. This time Pawan Verma got him to meet Nitish, Nitish has assured Chirag that this time both will be in support of each other. So, Nitish also wants Chirag to field candidates in at least 40 to 50 seats. The BJP should also leave 10 seats each for Manjhi and Kushwaha and the saffron party itself should contest 90 seats. But Nitish's formula is not acceptable to the BJP at the moment.

... And finally,

When the all-party delegation of MPs was about to go abroad for Operation Sindoor, Karti Chidambaram, son of former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, met Rahul Gandhi's close aide Gaurav Gogoi and cried in front of him that 'in the list of Congress MPs that Rahul had sent to PM Modi, neither his i.e. Karti (who is a Lok Sabha MP) nor his father P. Chidambaram ( Rajya Sabha MP). On this, Gaurav explained to Karti, 'Which list of Rahul ji did the PM pick, where did Rahul ji send the names of Shashi Tharoor or Manish Tewari? Modi goes out of the way and elects those whom he has to choose, so please stop blaming Rahul ji. ’
