Punjab Kesari Newspaper Published in 1965 with help of Tractor Engine

In 1965, we carried 1,200 newspapers with us, which later reached 10 lakh. The ABC has been witness to this over a period of time. But we have also paid the price for the power of Punjab Kesari, which has become the trust of the people. The state governments, fed up with our truth and misused the democratic powers, cut off the electricity supply to our newspapers during the Emergency. But we printed our newspaper structure which was printed by web-off-set rotary by attaching it to the tractor. The power of the people was with us.

Along with the pen, our immortal martyr Ramesh Chandra Ji established a tractor engineering and this process of printing newspapers from the tractor continued for ten consecutive days and became a history. It was a slap in the face of the State Governments. Punjab Kesari, as the power of pen, truth and people, faced a similar incident for the second time when the J&K government imposed censorship on our newspaper. This time the matter reached the Supreme Court and the order of ban on newspapers had to be withdrawn. These two incidents in the life of Punjab Kesari are such that it was the biggest difficulty, but when Punjab Kesari won over it, the power of people's faith was working behind it.
