Nation First and Foremost Only Priority of Indians

Published on:

The speciality of India's parliamentary democracy is that on the one hand, it runs on the form of a majority government in the Lok Sabha, while on the other hand, it also arranges for the participation of minority members sitting in the opposition. Every Member of Parliament who has reached Parliament has the same rights within the House. The reason for this is that every MP is elected by the votes of the common people and each vote has the same value. Therefore, while the process of forming a government rests on the majority, the work of running it hinges on the participation of power and opposition. On any bill of the government, the opposition MPs give their suggestions within the Houses, which it is the job of the government to accept or not. Democracy has been considered as the best system of governance in the world because it runs on the basis of the strength received from the general public, in which the opposition also has equal participation with the ruling party. In this system, whenever the nation is in crisis, the duty of the Members of each party becomes only in the national interest and they forget their ideological differences. In such circumstances, the religion of all parties becomes only one which is called 'Rashtra Dharma'. Therefore, the Modi government's move to send multi-party parliamentary delegations to different countries of the world in connection with the recent Operation Sindoor should be welcomed. In this, we can follow our national religion only by forgetting party differences.

If any political party thinks on this issue keeping its party interests above its party interests, then it will be considered unfair. In times of crisis, there can be no other interest above the national interest because democracy is bound by the very existence of the nation. The Modi government wants that if the leaders of opposition parties go to present India's side in the world, then we will keep it in the category of nation supreme, in which party policies can have nothing to do with it. The opposition parties of India also know very well that when their steps are on foreign soil, the government of any party running in India is not the Modi government or the Vajpayee government or the Manmohan Singh government, but it is only the 'Government of India' and it is their responsibility to protect this government abroad because this government is the government of the people of India and the opposition is also the government of the people Represents. The Modi government wants Indian parliamentary delegations led by some opposition leaders from European and Gulf countries to the United Nations to go there and wake up the world about how Pakistan is spreading terrorism in India and to what extent it has gone down in this task that its terrorists are killing people in Jammu and Kashmir by asking their religion, in response to which India has to Some drastic steps have to be taken and the army is forced to launch 'Operation Sindoor'. It is sad that a country like America is also speaking obliquely to stop Operation Sindoor and due to Pakistan's nuclear power, the region of the Indian subcontinent is considered as an area on the brink of nuclear war.

In this case, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has clearly stated that there is a dire need for Pakistan's nuclear weapons to be taken under international supervision because a country does not have a nuclear power that has a policy of spreading terrorism. In such an environment, if some countries of the world make the mistake of weighing India and Pakistan in the same scale, then they indirectly promote terrorism. Therefore, it is very important that India's identity abroad should not be that of a country running on party lines, but of a nation speaking in a united voice. For this reason, the Modi government reached out to leaders of various parties and requested them to join multi-party delegations. Among the parties whose leaders were contacted were Shashi Tharoor, Amar Singh, Salman Khurshid and Manish Tewari of the Congress party, Supriya Sule of the Nationalist Congress, Sudip Bandyopadhyay of the Trinamool Congress, Asiduddin Owaisi of the All India Ittehade Muslimeen, Smt. Kanni Mauzhi of the DMK, Sasmit Patra of the Biju Janata Dal, E.T. Narayan of the Muslim League. Muhammad Bashirav, Jan Britas of the Marxist Party. Along with this, BJ Singh from the BJP is also present. Panda and Ravi Shankar Prasad. All of them are Members of Parliament and are known to be eloquent parliamentarians. Therefore, if politics is done on this issue, it cannot be said to be in the national interest. This is not the first time India is doing this.

In 1971, when India fought the Bangladesh war with Pakistan, the then Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister. Indira Gandhi sent her bitter critic politicians abroad to present India's case to the world. These include the self. Jai Prakash Narayan was also involved in the mass movement against Indira rule in 1974. He was the head of the Congress government. In 1994, P.V. Narasimha Rao was elected as the then Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was sent to Geneva to represent India at the United Nations Human Rights Conference. Therefore, the Congress's objection to the name of Mr. Tharoor cannot be said to be justified. He may be at loggerheads with the ruling BJP, but as far as the nation is concerned, he is only a Congress MP in the Lok Sabha who is currently the chairman of the Lok Sabha Standing Committee on External Affairs. Similarly, Salman Khurshid has also been the External Affairs Minister in the Manmohan Singh government. Therefore, when it comes to India, the BJP government wants to send Muslim League MPs abroad to present the country's case. Therefore, in this hour, the policy of every political party should be nation first and nation paramount.
