Befitting reply to Pakistan
In response to the Pahalgam massacre, the people of India are in favor of giving a befitting reply to Pakistan. At the same time, the people of India expect that the countries of the whole world should show sensitivity over the Pahalgam terrorist incident and strongly oppose Pakistan, the country that spreads terrorism, and in this work, they should be seen in support of the Modi Government of India, so that appropriate action can be taken against those who spread terror at the international level. This sentiment has been recognized by Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh and has assured the countrymen that the people of India will take the strongest possible action against Pakistan. This statement of the Defense Minister shows what is the intention of the Government of India. Since India is the largest democracy in the world, it is the foremost duty of any government to respect the will of the common people.
On the other hand, the statement of External Affairs Minister Shri S. Jaishankar that India does not need preachers in the fight against terrorism, but partners is also very important. Many countries in Europe are advising India to exercise restraint. Mr Jaishankar made the statement in response to the same. Mr. Jaishankar is well aware that Pakistan has been receiving indirect support from Western countries from time to time, due to which Pakistan has attacked India four times in the last 78 years, but every time Pakistan had to face defeat. In every war, India defeated Pakistan hard and even relieved its sixes that in 1971 Pakistan broke into two parts and a new nation Bangladesh emerged on the world map.
Mr Jaishankar has said that India cherishes the realism of Russia but is also mindful of the friendship with the US. It is obvious that both Russia and America are friends of India, but Russia has openly supported India in times of every trouble. The Foreign Minister has discussed realism in the context of the Russia-Ukraine war. The whole world knows that Ukraine is being helped by European countries against Russia and the new President of America, Mr. Donald Trump, wants to settle it by mediating, but Russia has not given up its claim that Ukraine is occupying some part of it. Mr. Jaishankar has explained the reality between India and Pakistan in gestures.
Actually, India wants to teach Pakistan a befitting lesson from the diplomatic front to the military front, but for this, it will decide the time itself. That is why Mr. Jaishankar is pleading with the European countries who have become preachers that before preaching to others, they should look into their own pockets and see how they behave whenever they are in trouble. But in the context of Pakistan, European countries start preaching. The real reason for this is that Britain has played a major role in the creation of Pakistan in 1947. During the two hundred years of British rule over India, everything was done that could divide Hindus and Muslims because the British knew that if India was kept united, it could emerge as a great power in the world. The reason for this was that united India had all the resources that make any country a world power.
Therefore, in 1919, the British first separated Sri Lanka from India. Then in 1935 Burma (Myanmar) was separated and in 1947 India was divided into India and Pakistan. But in 1889, the British separated Afghanistan from all this. The British did not even take cognizance of the vast sultanate of Maharaja Ranjit Singh of Punjab to create Pakistan and created Pakistan in Punjab itself. When the British left India in 1947, they also granted independence to more than seven hundred princely states of vast India and put the option before them that they could merge with either India or Pakistan and could remain independent if they wished.
In the case of Maharaja Ranjit Singh's princely state, the British did not apply this formula saying that the British had purchased the princely state of Maharaja stretching from Agra to Kabul from Maharaja Duleep Singh in 1849. While Princess Bamba, the daughter of Maharaja Duleep Singh, was pleading with the British government to hand over the princely state to other native princely states. But no one listened to them. In fact, Pakistan was created by the British due to the greed that in the future Pakistan would give them preference in the whole of West Asia and the Pacific Ocean. Otherwise, there were initially differences among the commanders of the British armies on the issue of partition of India.
Therefore, if the European world is preaching restraint to India, then it has historical reasons for its own interests. Shri Jaishankar's statement is completely realistic and rests on the standards of current international politics. At the same time, Rajnath Singh's statement will be considered based on the reality of India. His statement that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has the temperament of a politician who takes decisive decisions and therefore the government led by him will give a befitting reply to Pakistan and as the Defence Minister he will fulfill the responsibility of national security, shows that India will adopt a realistic stand from the national front to the international front. The message of the Defense Minister and Foreign Minister is clear that India will give a befitting reply to Pahalgam to Pakistan.
