Delhi Speeding Car Accident: A delivery boy was fatally hit by a speeding car in Delhi’s Subhash Nagar area in the early hours of the morning. The victim later succumbed to his injuries. Police have taken the accused driver into custody, and further investigation into the incident is currently underway.
According to an eyewitness who spoke to news agency IANS, the accident occurred at around 2:30 a.m. A boy working at a nearby petrol pump said he heard a deafening noise and immediately rushed to the spot. He alleged that the occupants of the car appeared to be intoxicated and claimed the vehicle was being driven at an extremely high speed, estimated to be around 150 km/h. The speeding car allegedly rammed into the delivery boy with such force that he was crushed under the vehicle.
The eyewitness further stated that after the collision, one of the boys attempted to flee the scene. However, alert local residents chased him down and managed to catch him before handing him over to the police. Authorities are now examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area and recording statements from witnesses to determine the exact sequence of events and establish responsibility.

Let us tell you that regarding this incident, the delivery boy who worked with him said, “A black car hit him at night, in which the young man died. He used to work with me. We used to work together only at night.” He alleged that the young man in the car was drunk and was driving at high speed. Delhi Police said about the incident that this accident happened near the Subhash Nagar Metro red light. A PCR call was received about the accident at around 3:30 pm. On receiving the information, a team reached the spot and the injured was taken to the hospital, but doctors there declared him dead.

The delivery boy has been identified as Hem Shankar, a resident of Delhi ‘s Raghubir Nagar area. According to police , the accused car driver, identified as Mohit Kumar of Najafgarh, has been taken into custody and the car has been seized. The accused works as a contractor for the MCD. An FIR has been registered, and further legal action is underway.
