AAP protest at Jantar Mantar: The issue of contract employees is once again heating up in Delhi politics. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced a major step in support of the laid-off employees. Party leaders say they will raise their voices at every level, from street protests to mass protests, to defend the rights of those who have been laid off after long periods of service.
AAP protest at Jantar Mantar: AAP appeals contract workers to gather at Jantar Mantar
Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi State President, Saurabh Bhardwaj, has appealed to all contract employees to reach Jantar Mantar on March 1st. He stated that this fight is not just for a few individuals, but for the future of thousands of families. The party says that a large number of employees have been laid off during the BJP government, and now they must organize and speak out.
Saurabh Bhardwaj clearly stated that bus marshals, DTC conductors and drivers, data entry operators working in hospitals, nurses, pharmacists, and Mohalla Clinic employees should all be part of this movement. He said that the party will raise its voice for the rights of all these categories of employees.
Saurabh Bhardwaj News: Preparations underway to contact thousands of employees
According to the party, approximately 400 DMK employees have already expressed their support. Additionally, plans are underway to contact approximately 10,000 bus marshals and 6,000 other employees. They allege that data entry operators employed in Delhi government hospitals for the past ten years are being gradually laid off, causing financial hardship for many families.
Saurabh Bhardwaj said this is the time to show strength in numbers. He urged workers and employees to reach out to everyone whose job is at risk or who has already been laid off within the next 15 days.
He made an emotional appeal to the employees, stating that March 1st is a Sunday, so everyone should bring food from home to Jantar Mantar. He said the protest will be peaceful, but it is important to show the government how many people are affected. The party believes that when a large number of people raise their voices together, pressure will build on the government and it will be forced to take steps toward a solution.
Delhi News: New campaign will begin on March 3rd
Saurabh Bhardwaj warned that if the government doesn’t address the employees’ demands by March 2nd, a new campaign will begin on March 3rd. Under this campaign, employees will put up a large sign outside their homes that reads, “The BJP has taken away my job.” He said that when neighborhood residents, relatives, or other citizens see this sign, questions will arise. He claimed this will increase political pressure and reveal who is responsible for the job losses.
Aam Aadmi Party’s fight for workers’ rights
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) states that this struggle is not just a political issue, but a social and economic one. The livelihoods of thousands of families are linked to it. The party reiterated that it stands with contract workers and will take every possible step to protect their rights. It remains to be seen how many workers arrive at Jantar Mantar on March 1st and what impact this movement will have on the future.
