United Airlines Adds Peacock Entertainment Channel Onboard

United Airlines has partnered with NBCUniversal’s streaming service, Peacock, to introduce a new dedicated inflight entertainment channel. This collaboration aims to significantly enhance the passenger experience by providing a wider selection of popular content directly on board.

New Entertainment Options for Passengers

The new Peacock channel will feature a variety of fan-favorite series, including the latest season of ‘The Traitors,’ alongside popular titles such as ‘All Her Fault,’ ‘The Paper,’ and ‘Poker Face.’ Passengers can also look forward to additional content like ‘The Copenhagen Test’ and ‘Ponies,’ which are slated for addition in June. This expanded offering is designed to provide more engaging and diverse entertainment options for travelers during their flights.

Widespread Availability Across United’s Fleet

This new entertainment initiative will be accessible to passengers across United’s fleet, featuring on more than 160,000 seatback screens. Additionally, the content will be available on personal devices through the United mobile app, offering flexibility and convenience. The rollout is set to commence on May 1, 2026, ensuring a broad reach for the new channel.

Expanding United’s Content Library

The addition of the Peacock channel significantly boosts United’s already extensive inflight entertainment library. The airline currently offers over 1,600 hours of content, comprising 450 movies, 1,000 TV episodes, and 140 hours of podcast content. Dominic Green, Director of Inflight Entertainment at United Airlines, stated that this move aligns with the company’s commitment to improving the onboard customer experience by offering a greater variety of high-quality entertainment.

Commitment to Inflight Technology

United Airlines continues to invest in its inflight entertainment technology. The airline boasts a fleet where over 800 planes are equipped with Bluetooth audio-enabled seatback screens. Furthermore, new aircraft are being introduced with advanced 27-inch, 4K OLED seatback screens, demonstrating United’s dedication to providing a modern and superior travel experience for its passengers.
