Stock Market Today Oct 13: The Indian stock market opened in the red on Monday, the first day of the trading week. Early trading saw selling in the auto, IT, PSU banks, financial services, and pharmaceutical sectors.

At around 9:34 a.m., the Sensex was trading at 82,077.94, down 422.88 points, or 0.51 per cent, while the Nifty was trading at 25,163.50, down 121.85 points, or 0.48 per cent. According to market analysts, “We are starting the week with our upside target set at 25,460. Volatility is expected to increase as the week progresses. While the nearest support is visible at 25230/15, a direct decline after 25113 will be awaited, so stay away from upside bets.”
Meanwhile, Tata Motors, Infosys, Tata Steel, L&T, PowerGrid, UltraTech Cement, and HDFC Bank were among the top losers in the Sensex pack, while Eternal, Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, and Bajaj Finserv were among the top gainers.
