Stock Market Today January 30: Indian stock markets opened in the red on Friday amid weak global cues. At 9:19 AM, the Sensex was trading 444 points or 0.54 percent lower at 82,100, and the Nifty was down 157 points or 0.62 percent at 25,261. Selling pressure in metal and commodity stocks weighed down all major indices in early trading.
Stock Market Today: Sectoral Performance

In early trading, metal and commodities indices saw the biggest losses. Besides these, IT, media, energy, PSE, realty, PSU banks, and defense sectors were also trading in the red. Only the healthcare, pharma, and FMCG sectors were in positive territory. In the Sensex, Maruti Suzuki, Indigo, Titan, ITC, and Sun Pharma were among the top gainers, while Tata Steel, Infosys, HCL Tech, TCS, Tech Mahindra, NTPC, Bharti Airtel, UltraTech Cement, Bajaj Finserv, BEL, Kotak Mahindra Bank, M&M, ICICI Bank, and Axis Bank were among the top losers.

Gold and silver also saw declines. At the time of writing, gold was trading 1.99 percent lower at $5,250 per ounce, and silver had fallen 3.50 percent to $110 per ounce.

Crude oil prices also softened. WTI crude closed 1.71 percent lower at $64.31 per barrel, and Brent crude fell 1.60 percent to $68.51 per barrel.
