Stock Market Holiday Today: Indian stock markets will be closed today on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti. According to information provided on the Bombay Stock Exchange’s official website, trading will be closed in the activity, activity derivatives, and SLB segments. Additionally, trading will be suspended in the currency derivatives segment and interest rate derivatives.

According to information regarding the commodity derivatives segment, trading will not be available in the morning session from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but will be open in the evening session from 5:00 PM to 11:30/11:55 PM. Trading on the NSE and BSE for this week will resume the following day, Thursday, November 6th.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Sensex and Nifty closed at red after a significant decline. The Sensex fell 519.34 points, or 0.62 percent, to close at 83,459.15. The Nifty fell 165.70 points, or 0.64 percent, to close at 25,597.65. The Nifty Bank closed at 57,827.05, down 250.20 points, or 0.41 percent.

Nifty Midcap Today

On the other hand, the Nifty Midcap 100 index fell 250.20 points, or 0.42 percent, to close at 60,037.20, and the Nifty Smallcap 100 index declined 152.50 points, or 0.82 percent, to close at 18,360.90. Sectoral, Nifty Auto, IT, PSU Bank, Financial Services, Pharma, FMCG, Metal, and Realty all ended in the red.
