Maruti Suzuki expands solar capacity to 30MWp, embracing renewables
New Delhi, June 4 (IANS): Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSI) on Wednesday announced to increase solar capacity to 30 megawatt-peak (MWP) with two new projects as part of its commitment to increase the use of renewable energy in its operations. The automaker commissioned a 20MWpp solar power project at its new facility in Kharkhoda, Haryana and added an additional 10MWpp of solar capacity at its Manesar facility. With this addition, the total solar capacity of Maruti Suzuki India Limited across all locations has increased from 49 MWp to 79MWp in the last one year.
