Gold Prices fall, Investors eye Rs 90,000 target

There was a period when gold prices soared to Rs 1 lakh per ten grams, but now its allure is diminishing as both gold and silver prices are dropping swiftly. Previously, gold was priced at one lakh rupees per ten grams, but it has now decreased to 92 thousand rupees per ten grams. As of today, May 16, 2025, the price of 24-carat gold stands at Rs 93,920 per ten grams, and silver prices have also seen a decline. Currently, silver is priced at 94,572 rupees per kg.

Initially, the increasing gold prices led to predictions that it might hit Rs 1.50 lakh per ten grams. However, following a decline in gold prices, expectations have shifted to a potential drop to Rs 90,000 per ten grams. The decrease in gold prices has attracted investors, as the current fluctuations are yielding favorable returns, establishing gold as the top-performing asset class in FY 2025.
