New Delhi: On Friday, gold prices increased to Rs 96,800 per 10 gram in the bullion market due to renewed buying by jewellers and a strong global trend. On Thursday, gold with 99.9 percent purity had decreased by Rs 2,830 to Rs 95,720 per 10 gram. However, gold of the same purity rose by Rs 180 to Rs 96,350 per 10 gram. In the previous session, the precious metal had dropped by Rs 1,930 to Rs 96,170 per 10 gram.
