Ayurvedic product exports tripled, turnover reaches $24 billion

According to Kotecha, it was $ 2.85 billion in 2014, while it increased to $ 24 billion in 2024. He compared the 'Vande Ayukon-2025' programme with Ayurveda's 'Mini Kumbh'. The 'Vande Ayucon-2025' event was organised by the Gujarat Ayurvedic and Unani System of Medicine Board in Ahmedabad in which Health Minister Rishikesh Patel was also present. The event was attended by more than 27,000 Ayurvedacharyas both online and offline. During his address, Minister Patel emphasized that Ayurveda is not just a medical practice, but a science of living. "The box of spices in our kitchen is a treasure trove of Ayurveda. The history of Ayurveda is ancient and doctors should be proud to be called 'Vaidya' rather than 'Doctor'. "
Highlighting the essence of Ayurveda, Minister Patel said that 'Ayu' means life and 'Veda' means science. He said that Ayurveda is not just meant to cure diseases, but to guide the holistic lifestyle while providing treatment without any side effects.
Citing the 'Ek Tree Maa Ke Naam' campaign, Minister Patel compared Ayurveda to a foster mother, and urged Ayurvedic practitioners to increase the public's faith in science. He also emphasized the importance of education as well as research at the Ayurvedic University to enhance both knowledge and skills.
At the event, top Ayurvedic practitioners were felicitated for their exceptional contributions and 11 outstanding clinics in the state were given the title of 'Best Clinic-2025'. In addition, 500 doctors were given free clinic OPD software.
Notable personalities like Sanjay Jivrajani, Chairman, Gujarat Ayurvedic and Unani System of Medicine Board, Mukul Patel, Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Ayurvedic University, Jayesh Parmar, Dharmendra Gajjar and Maulesh Ukani of Ban Labs were present at the event.
