Amidst this entire controversy, rapper Santy Sharma has openly come out in support of Badshah. He stated that in India, rap music and its lyrics are often misinterpreted. According to Santy Sharma, the lyrical style in rap music is often distinct, serving as a specific mode of artistic expression. However, in India, people are quick to label it as obscene or inappropriate. He argues that to truly understand an artist’s message, it is essential to also grasp the cultural background of rap music.
