Bihar Election 2025 Results: Promises, Alliances, and Ambitions Collide
Today, on 14 November, the Election Commissioner of India will begin vote counting from early morning at 8 am. The result of the Bihar Elections will make it clear whether Nitish Kumar of JD(U), and longest serving chief minister, has public support with him to secure a record of his fifth consecutive term, or people have chosen to opt for a change. Whereas the exit polls have predicted nearly a unanimous clean sweep for the NDA, and a wipeout of the INDIA bloc.

A senior leader of JD(U), Shravan Kumar, who showcased rural development as his portfolio and predicted victory for the NDA, with a big difference.
Tejashwi Yadav, the young RJD leader who is a major opposition coalition, named him as Chief Ministerial candidate, denounced the predictions as rubbish and cited goof-ups in the media, similar to exaggerated reports of the Indian armed forces’ action of Operation Sindoor, and recently unverified reports of the death of the legendary actor Dharmendra, who was admitted to a Mumbai hospital.
War of Words Fly between RJD and BJP as Bihar awaits counting of votes
The Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and chief Ministerial candidate from the INDIA bloc’s Tejashwi Yadav, said common people and his party workers are ready to handle any unconstitutional activity during counting hours. Another leader of the RJD, Sunil Kumar Singh, threatened with his fiery words, said, ” Nepal-like situation will be seen on the streets if the counting is halted, like in 2020″.

The Bharatiya Janata Party strongly reacted to the RJD’s leader, as state president Dilip Jaiswal says, BJP leaders are in constant touch with party workers at counting centres and hoped that, similarly to the polling day, the counting day would also remain eventless and peaceful.
Bihar Election 2025 Results: Historic Voting Turnout
Bihar witnessed a record-breaking turnout of 67.13 per cent in the elections for 243 members of the Assembly, held in two phases: the first on 6 November and the second on 11 November. As per the predictions of the Chief Electoral Officer’s (CEO)’s office, the Muslim-dominated Seemanchal recorded the highest turnout of voters with an average of 75.10 per cent. Driven by heavy polling in the regions, including Kishanganj (78.06%), Katihar (78.63%), Purnia (76.04%), and Araria (69.68%).

The counting of votes will begin at 8 am, and the results are likely to start showing up by 9 am. The Election Commission has established a total of 46 counting centres across 38 districts in Bihar for the vote count.
The electoral fate of 2,616 candidates will be decided by 7.45 crore voters. According to the EC, EVMs and VVPATs used in the elections have been sealed inside a double-lock system in the strong rooms.
