Bihar CM Oath: After a sweeping victory in the Bihar Assembly elections, NDA is all set to form new government. Nitish Kumar was elected leader of the NDA on Wednesday and will be sworn in as Chief Minister today at Gandhi Maidan. Senior NDA leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda, arrived in Patna on Wednesday night to attend the swearing-in ceremony.

BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh said that people of Bihar have showered immense love on NDA, and Nitish Kumar is about to be sworn in as Chief Minister. People of Bihar have blessed the pairing of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. There is enthusiasm across the country. He said that the NDA’s victory in Bihar shows that people are very happy with the policies of central and state government.
NDA led by the JD(U) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the elections with sweeping majority in of 202 of the 243 assembly seats. Whereas, with 89 seats BJP became the single-largest party with JD(U) won 85, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) 19, Hindustan Awam Morcha got five and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha four.

The preparations are being made keeping in mind the possibility of gathering of people from common people to VIPs at the ceremony. During the inspection, Chief Minister had taken detailed information from the officials regarding the seating arrangements for guests on the stage and other facilities being provided.
