When the Railways releases the TTE recruitment notification, interested candidates can apply accordingly.
Next, candidates must appear for the exam at the designated center on the scheduled date.
The TTE exam includes questions on General Knowledge, Mathematics, and Reasoning, requiring thorough preparation in these subjects.
The exam consists of 150 questions covering Math, English, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and possibly some railway-related questions.
After passing the exam, candidates undergo training at a train and station. Upon completion, their tenure begins.
To become a TTE, a candidate must have 50% marks in 12th grade and be between 18 and 30 years old.
Selected candidates receive a salary ranging from Rs 9,400 to Rs 35,000 under the Seventh Pay Commission.
In addition, they receive a grade pay of Rs 1900, DA, HRA, and other allowances.
The TTE and their family members are provided free train travel anywhere by the Railways.
