Nigeria Bestows Prestigious National Honor on PM Modi

Nigeria has bestowed upon PM Narendra Modi its second highest national honor, 'The Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger'.

This is not the first occasion where PM Modi has received the highest national honor from a country; numerous countries have previously bestowed this honor upon him.

Russia has bestowed its highest civilian award, the Order of St Andrew the Apostle, upon Prime Minister Modi.

In 2021, Bhutan bestowed its highest civilian honor upon PM Modi. The award was presented to him during his visit to Bhutan in March 2024.

In 2016, Prime Minister Modi received Afghanistan's highest civilian award, the 'State Order of Ghazi Amir Amanullah Khan'.

In 2019, Prime Minister Modi received the King Hamad Order of the Renaissance from King Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa of Bahrain.

In 2023, Prime Minister Modi received Fiji's highest accolade, the Companion of the Order of Fiji, from Prime Minister Sitveni Rabuka.

In 2023, French President Emmanuel Macron presented PM Modi with the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor, France's highest accolade.

In 2019, PM Modi was awarded the Maldives' highest honour, the Order of the Distinguished Rule of Nishan Izzuddin.

In 2023, during his trip to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, the Prime Minister received the country's highest civilian honor, the Grand Companion of the Order of Logohu.

In 2016, during his trip to Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister received the country's highest civilian award, the King Abdulaziz Sash.

In 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the UAE's highest civilian award, the Order of Zayed.
