Individuals from around the globe assembled in Washington for the inauguration ceremony of President Donald Trump, while Reliance Foundation chairperson Nita Ambani attended the private reception on Saturday with her usual elegance.
A Reliance Foundation statement revealed that the traditional Kanchipuram silk saree, meticulously designed with over 100 significant traditional motifs inspired by the spiritual and historical essence of Kanchipuram's grand temples and embellished with 18th-century heritage Indian jewellery, showcased the soul of India on the global stage.
Crafted by the nationally acclaimed master artisan B Krishnamurthy, the bespoke saree showcases meticulously selected and intricate designs including Iruthalaipakshi, Mayil, and the iconic Sorgavasal animal path.
To add a modern touch, the saree was matched with a velvet blouse by Manish Malhotra, featuring a built-up neckline and detailed beadwork on the sleeve hem. A rare 200-year-old Indian pendant from South India accentuated this stunning ensemble.
On Sunday, Nita Ambani and Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani extended their congratulations to US President-elect Donald Trump at a private event in Washington DC prior to his inauguration. Ambani conveyed optimism that the President-elect will further strengthen India-US ties and extended his best wishes for his second term as leader in the White House.
An official involved in organizing the event stated that the Ambani couple will be present at Trump's inauguration at the US Capitol on January 20. The couple will have a distinguished spot at the ceremony, seated on the dais alongside other notable guests, such as nominees for Trump's cabinet and elected officials.
