Jaishankar and Blinken discuss enhanced Indo-US cooperation

On Thursday, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Washington, DC. The leaders assessed the advancements in the India-US partnership over the past four years and concurred that collaboration had intensified in various domains.

Jaishankar conveyed optimism that the partnership between India and the US will be advantageous for both nations and contribute positively to global welfare.

In a post on X, Jaishankar said, "Delighted to meet @SecBlinken yesterday evening in Washington D.C. Reviewed the advancement of partnership over the last four years. Agreed that our cooperation has strengthened in many domains, just as our comfort levels have grown correspondingly. Confident that the India-US relationship will serve our mutual interests as well as global good."

Jaishankar is presently on an official trip to the United States. During this trip, he held meetings with India's Ambassador to the US, Vinay Kwatra, as well as the consul general in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, Houston, and Atlanta. The authorities explored ways to enhance the India-US relationship, with an emphasis on technology, trade, and investment.
