Bill Clinton hospitalized with fever, will return home soon

Former US President Bill Clinton was admitted to a hospital in Washington DC on Monday afternoon for testing and monitoring after he developed a fever, according to his spokesman. Clinton's deputy chief of staff, Angel Urena, told the media that the former president is doing well, is in good health, and hopes to return home by Christmas. Urena also expressed gratitude for the "excellent care" Clinton is receiving. Sharing a post on The X early Tuesday morning, Urena wrote, "President Clinton was admitted to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital this afternoon for testing and monitoring after a fever has been reported. He is in good health and is very grateful for the excellent care he is receiving.

What happened before he was admitted to the hospital?

Clinton was at his home in Washington when he was taken to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. A colleague said he would have to stay in the hospital for at least one night. Earlier in 2021, Clinton was admitted to the intensive care unit of UC Irvine Medical Center for a urinary tract infection that spread to her bloodstream. He also had quadruple bypass heart surgery in 2004 and two stents inserted to open up an artery in 2010.
