External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in New Delhi on Thursday, marking the 4th India-UAE Strategic Dialogue.

This high-level meeting underscores the growing bilateral relationship between India and the UAE.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressing optimism about the future of the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Modi reaffirmed both nations' commitment to working together for peace, stability, and security in the West Asia region.

“Happy to receive Deputy PM & Foreign Minister of the UAE, HH AB Zayed. India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership is poised to achieve unprecedented heights. We are committed to working towards peace, stability, and security in West Asia and the wider region,” PM Modi said on X.

Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit to New Delhi also includes participation in the 15th India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting.

Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal welcomed the UAE leader, stating that the visit will strengthen the multifaceted strategic partnership between the two nations.

The India-UAE partnership continues to deepen, with key developments including the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 2022 to establish a Cultural Council Forum.

This agreement aims to foster closer cooperation, including initiatives to protect endangered species like the Great Indian Bustard and Lesser Florican, through partnerships between the Wildlife Institute of India and the International Fund for Houbara Conservation.
