Israel-Hezbollah Conflict: Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon's Baalbeck-Harmel province have resulted in the deaths of at least 47 individuals. Additionally, 22 others have sustained injuries.
Governor Bashir Khoder informed that the victims hail from various towns and villages within the province, as reported by Xinhua news agency. Rescue teams continue their efforts to locate those missing beneath the debris of the demolished homes.
100 shells were fired in the Israeli attack
Lebanese military sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Xinhua that the Israeli military carried out 48 airstrikes in southern and eastern Lebanon on Thursday, while about 100 shells hit 18 border towns and villages in southern Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah claimed in a statement that its fighters attacked central Israel with missiles. "For the first time, a barrage of qualitative missiles targeted the Hatzor airbase, located in central Israel near Kibbutz Hatzor Ashdod, 150 km from the Lebanese border," the statement said.
Both Continued with their Attacks
Meanwhile, Hezbollah also fired missiles at Israeli military positions at various sites in southern Lebanon and northern Israel, according to the statement.
Since September, the Israeli military has intensified the conflict with Hezbollah and airstrikes on Lebanon. In early October, Israel launched a ground operation on its northern border in Lebanon.
