Balochistan CM Orders Inquiry as Quetta Blast Death Toll May Rise

Pakistan Railway Station Blast :A major explosion occurred today at the Quetta railway station in Pakistan's Balochistan province, resulting in the deaths of 21 individuals and injuring over 30 others. A bomb disposal squad and local police have arrived at the scene. The Baloch Liberation Army has claimed responsibility for the attack. Recently, there has been a rise in terrorist activities in Pakistan's north-west regions, along with an increase in separatist insurgency.

Police gave information about the case

Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Muhammad Baloch reported that the explosion occurred within the railway station as the Peshawar-bound express was preparing to leave. Police and rescue teams promptly arrived at the scene upon receiving the blast information. Doctors at Quetta's Civil Hospital have been placed on high alert due to the potential rise in the number of injured individuals. Additional medical staff and support personnel have also been summoned. Officials noted that many of the injured are in critical condition, which could result in an increased death toll from the explosion.

President condemns

President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani denounced the incident, stating, 'Terrorism is the adversary of humanity. They have attacked innocent people.' He reaffirmed his commitment to taking every possible measure to eradicate terrorism.

CM orders inquiry into the incident

Sarfaraz Bugti, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, has initiated an investigation into the incident. He also reaffirmed his commitment to eradicating terrorism from the province.
