Oppo Updates: Oppo's forthcoming smartphone is expected to feature a robust battery. The device may come equipped with a 7000mAh battery.

As reported by the well-known Chinese source Digital Chat Station, one of Oppo's upcoming smartphones will have a 6285mAh battery, and another model will be equipped with a 6850mAh battery.

The company intends to launch it with a 7000mAh battery. These upgraded batteries will be compatible with 80W SuperVOOC wired charging technology.

Xiaomi To Compete With Same Feature

The informant previously mentioned that Xiaomi is developing a smartphone featuring a 7000mAh battery. The device is expected to support 90W wired charging and may be powered by either a Snapdragon 8s Elite or a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor.

Challenges in bringing heavy battery smartphones

The tipster's claims seem logical, as many companies' smartphones have started launching batteries with more than 6000mAh power. This has not been confirmed by Oppo or Xiaomi, but the trend is pointing to it. Bringing a phone with a big battery will not be a normal thing. This makes the phone thicker and weight.

Meanwhile, after restricting the last two flagship models to China, Oppo's Find X series is making a stylish comeback on the global scene. The Oppo Find X8 Pro is loaded with features: four 50MP cameras, a flagship processor, a large battery, and a premium display – it has it all, at least theoretically. I've been using it for the past 10 days, and this is how the specifications hold up in real-world use.

The Oppo Find X8 Pro features a more traditional design. The leather-back variant has been discontinued, and it is now available only in Space Black and Pearl White colors.

The surface is soft and not slippery. Oppo has taken a mainstream approach with the exterior of the Find X8 Pro, making it 0.7mm thinner and 6g lighter while including a larger battery. Although it may not be as stylish as its predecessor, it is more comfortable to hold and use. The weight distribution is improved, so it doesn't feel top-heavy. Additionally, the camera housing is slimmer.
